On Friday 24th April Trinity acknowledged 100 years since the Gallipoli landings in our ANZAC Day Service. We remembered those who served not only in WWI, but all those touched by conflicts throughout the last century. We prayed in gratitude for the sacrifices of the brave men and women who have served our country. We were joined by Mr Ray Heathcote from the Berwick RSL who recited the ode, laid the wreath and spoke to us about the importance of working for peace in our world. Let us continue to honour those fallen and to heed the words of Jesus, “Blessed are the Peacemakers”, in all of our words and actions.
We thank Harlan Tavinor, Yr 1B and Jessica Maddocks, Yr 3M, who represented Trinity with pride, at local ANZAC commemoration services on Saturday 25th April, laying wreaths on our behalf.
