From the Principal

I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing long weekend!

What a wonderful and heartwarming day we had last Friday as we celebrated Grandparents' and Special Persons’ Day here at Trinity! It was truly a joyous occasion that allowed us to honour and show appreciation for the special role that these people play in the lives of our students.

Our celebration was filled with smiles, laughter, and beautiful moments of connection between students, grandparents, special friends and our entire school community. From the Prayer Service to the shared time in classrooms, it was clear that this day was not only about celebrating our grandparents and special people, but also about reinforcing our school’s Vision that- Inspired by God’s faith, hope and love, Trinity is an aspirational and inclusive learning community.

We are grateful to all the grandparents and special friends who were able to attend and make this day so special. Your presence brought so much warmth to our school, and we hope you felt the love and gratitude from your grandchildren, friends and their teachers. For those who were unable to join us in person, we hope you were able to feel connected through our prayers and activities.

Thank you to all staff for their enthusiasm and work they put in to making this a successful and an anticipated event on the school calendar.

This will be an excellent opportunity for the students to consolidate some of their learning this year as well as spending quality time with their peers before they graduate in December. The staff attending the camp are Mrs Davis, Mrs Parker, Mrs Varsamis, Mrs Mitrea, Mr Dannaoui, Mrs Pepper, Mrs Romalie, Mrs Quick and myself. I thank the staff for giving up their time to support our students on their camp experience.

Religious Education - Term 4, Week 5

Dear Families,

Grandparents Day
We had a heartwarming celebration at Trinity as we welcomed our beloved grandparents and special friends for a day of connection and joy. The morning began with a beautiful prayer service led by our student Social Justice Leaders, who guided us in honouring the invaluable presence of our guests. A touching video of students sharing what they love most about their grandparents brought smiles and a few tears to the room. The Trinity choir added to the heartfelt atmosphere with a special song dedicated to grandparents.

After the service, guests joined students in their classrooms to participate in engaging activities, making precious memories together. The day concluded with a delightful morning tea, providing an opportunity for everyone to chat, relax, and reflect on the morning. We are grateful to all who joined us in celebrating the important role our grandparents and special friends play in our lives.

Catholic Mission Fundraiser
This October, our students donned their coziest pyjamas to support a truly meaningful cause, raising over $700 for the Don Bosco Care Centre. This effort was part of our observance of Mission Month, a time when we come together to focus on our collective responsibility to support those in need, both locally and globally.

Throughout Mission Month, we have been inspired by the spirit of giving and the powerful impact of generosity. By dressing up in pyjamas, our students not only showed their school spirit but also demonstrated their dedication to making a difference. This event connected us all to the values of empathy, solidarity, and kindness that Mission Month encourages.

In a special treat, we will soon welcome Maria from Catholic Mission to Trinity. Maria will join us in the coming weeks to extend her gratitude for our contribution. She will also share some inspiring stories and insights about how our donations will be used to support the Don Bosco Care Centre's work in Mongolia. This centre provides essential support to children and families in need, helping to foster hope and opportunity for brighter futures.

A huge thank you to our Trinity community—students, parents, and staff—for making this fundraiser a success. Your generosity reflects the core values of our school, and we look forward to learning more about the difference we’ve made in the lives of others through Maria's visit.

Kind regards,

Emily Rogers
Religious Education Leader

Parish Schools Cup - Years 5 and 6, Term 4, Week 5

PARISH SCHOOLS CUP - YEARS 5 AND 6

On Thursday 31st October, Mary MacKillop Primary School hosted the annual Parish Schools Cup. All Year 5 and 6 students from Trinity, Don Bosco and Mary MacKillop Primary Schools competed in a round robin competition in either 7 a-side soccer, teeball, volleystars, basketball and hot shots tennis. The day commenced with a friendly welcome from Mary MacKillop Primary School and a prayer service. Throughout the day, the students displayed great sportsmanship, represented Trinity with pride and upheld our four whole school expectations: resilience, respect, responsible and safe. There was a real sense of community between the students from all three schools, where they supported and encouraged each other, forming new friendships. We congratulate all the students for their positive participation. Congratulations to Ethan C (6C) for receiving the Trinity School Spirit award for the outstanding sportsmanship he displayed through his positive attitude, resilience and encouraging support. Thank you to all the staff that were involved with the preparation, organising teams and assisting on the day: Mrs Wedlock, Miss Farrelly, Mrs Darwish, Mrs Schinck, Mrs Fogarty, Mrs Parker, Mrs Mitrea, Mrs Davis, Miss Watson, Mrs Varsamis, Miss Marsden, Mrs Quick and Mrs Bennett. A special thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who assisted with coaching and refereeing: Ms Saunders, James, Ruel, Linda, Mel, Nicole, Gerard, Angie, Rachelle, Sabrina, Donato, Alex and Adrian. Thank you also to the parents and family members for cheering on the students.

Thank you to Our Lady Help of Christians Parish for providing the students with this fantastic sporting opportunity, to Father Ajin for coming to support the students, to the staff from Mary MacKillop and Don Bosco Primary Schools for helping to organise the day, to the referees and to Mary MacKillop Primary School for being a wonderful host.

SAFE AROUND Trinity Catholic Primary

Trinity Car Park Etiquette

  • Please abide by the 5km/h limit the WHOLE TIME you are in the park area.
  • For greater safety and visibility, we are requesting that all drivers reverse park into the marked bays in our school car park.
  • Thank you to all who use the pedestrian crossing area.  You are demonstrating to your children correct road safety practices.  Once children cross the pedestrian crossing into the parking area, they, for their safety, need to be placed into vehicles promptly.  The car park is NOTa meeting area.
  • The lane around the edge of the car park (closest to the oval) are for vehicles waiting to pick children up from the Pick-up Zone ONLY.
  • The two parking bays closest to the office path are the only PICK-UP ZONES.  These are NO STANDINGzones.  If your children are not ready to get into your car as you pull up to the pick-up zone, you must continue on and either park or rejoin the end of the pick-up queue.
  • THE GATES CLOSEAT 8.50am. They will RE-OPEN AT 3.00pm. The gates close for the day at 3:30pm. Occasionally they might reopen slightly later due to school activities.
  • The Staff Car Park is forSTAFF PARKING ONLY.  Please do not use it as a drop off/pick up for students.

We really need commitment from families to NOT TURN RIGHT when exiting the car park.  All vehicles must TURN LEFT for the safety of others and to maintain traffic flow.

We also have families double parking along Oakgrove Drive and letting their children out. This is unsafe, prevents traffic flow and against road rules.

We have also been contacted by Casey Council, which patrols the area, about families performing U-turns on Oakgrove Drive. Their advice is as follows:

Ø  U-turns are dangerous during the peak school times for pedestrians but also other drivers.

Ø  They recommend NOT performing U-turns in this area. This is dangerous for children and pedestrians around a school precinct.

Ø  They recommend driving further up to the roundabout on Oakgrove Drive, where you can turn around safely or exit away from the school.

If you have others picking up your children, such as Grandparents, can you please inform them of Trinity’s protocols or etiquette.

Thank you for taking the time to read this email and I look forward to your continued commitment to keep our students and families safe.
