From the Principal
Welcome back to Term 4!
I hope everyone enjoyed a restful and refreshing break and is ready for another great term ahead. This term promises to be a busy and exciting one, filled with opportunities for learning, celebration, and growth. As we head toward the end of the school year, we look forward to building on the achievements of the year so far and finishing strongly together.
This term brings a variety of activities and events. This includes the swimming program which starts with our Foundation and Year 1 students completing a water safety session at the pool next week. In Week 3, students in Years 3 and 5 will participate in a Life Saving Victoria incursion focusing on the important theory aspects of water safety. In Week 4, Years 2 and 4 will commence their lessons at Paul Sadler and our Year 6 students will swim in November. The program is an important part of the school’s sports curriculum and a valuable opportunity for skills to be reinforced, and water safety addressed.
As this is the last term for our Grade 6 students, we want to make it especially memorable. Our Grade 6 students will be going on camp in November, having a fun day together in December and their Graduation. We look forward to celebrating all they have achieved and accomplished throughout their time a Trinty!
One of the key activities this term is the creation of class lists for next year. This process is crucial for ensuring that every student is placed in a learning environment that supports their growth. Shortly your children will have had the opportunity to select a number of fellow students who they believe they work well with. We aim to provide every child with at least one person on their list; however, this is only one of the factors teachers consider when planning classes.
This is a time of both excitement and uncertainty for your children as they begin to think about 2026. To help make this process as smooth as possible, we kindly ask for your support by framing conversations around change in a positive way.
Inform and Empower- Wednesday 22nd October
Together with Don Bosco Primary School, Trinity is inviting all parents and carers to attend a seminar hosted by Marty and Carley from Inform and Empower - Raising Kids in a Digital World. Inform and Empower have been working with our school to create safer and more positive online experiences for every student.
Given the increased use of social media, chat groups, and online gaming that students are engaged in at home, we implore all parents to attend to ensure they have the right skills to best support their child. The content of the seminar is for parents only, so Don Bosco Primary school will be offering a child-minding service during the seminar. Thankfully, the event cost is covered by both schools, and we would love to see as many of you as possible attend.
The seminar will occur at Don Bosco Primary School, 496 Princes Hwy, Narre Warren, on Wednesday 22 October between 6:30pm & 8pm. Attached below is the flyer with more information and a QR code to book into the session. We hope to see you there!
School Disco- Friday the 24th of October
The Fundraising Committee have organised an exciting disco night for all the students to participate in, should they wish to attend. The disco will be split into a Junior (F-2) disco from 4.30-6pm and a Middle/Senior Disco from 6.30 – 8pm. Please see the flyer below for more details. All money raised will go towards further redevelopment of the area outside the library. A huge thank you to Francisco, a former parent, for his willingness to give up his time to DJ the event - "Beats by Francisco".
There is a cost of $10 payable via CDF Pay. This will open for your purchase on Friday the 10th of October at 9am.
The payments will be closed at 4pm on Thursday the 23rd of September- the day before the disco. There will be no cash or EFTPOS on the night, so only those who have prepaid though CDF will be admitted.
To help this event be successful, we will need parent volunteers for each of the sessions. To be able to do this, you must have a current Working with Children Check (WWCC), have completed the online induction and attended the front office to complete an OHS Induction Checklist (this needs to be done each year from July). Please contact the office if you are available to assist.
Sumer Uniform
Summer uniform is to be worn form the start of Term 4, however there is a 2 week change over period during which they can wear either.
Hats, however, are needed from the start of the term.
Grandparents / Special Friends Day
On Friday, 31st October, we will celebrate our Grandparents / Special Friends Day. This is a highlight of the school calendar, and we look forward to seeing as many grandparents / friends attend as possible. Full details of the day will be sent home to families shortly.

SCHOOL DISCO- Friday 24 October 2025

Term 4, Week 1 - Religious Education
Dear Families,
Grandparents and Special Friends Day - Friday 31st October
We are looking forward to celebrating Grandparents and Special Friends Day on Friday 31st October. This special occasion is a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their school experience with the important people in their lives.
The day will begin with a Prayer Service at 9:00am in the Readman Hall, where we will give thanks for the love, guidance and wisdom our grandparents and special friends bring to our lives. Following the Prayer Service, guests are warmly invited to visit classrooms to take part in some engaging activities with the students.
A catered morning tea will also be provided for our guests in the hall. To assist us with catering, a form will be sent home this Friday for families to indicate if a grandparent or special friend will be attending.
We look forward to welcoming our extended school community for this special day of connection and celebration!
Triune God Inquiry - Pieces of the Puzzle
This term, our students have begun exploring our new Religious Education unit, The Triune God, with the Inquiry Statement: Pieces of the Puzzle.
Students have been engaging in class brainstorms and reflective discussions to unpack what this statement means to them. Through guided questioning, they have begun to make connections between the idea of 'Pieces of the Puzzle' and how it relates to understanding God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: three distinct persons, yet one God.
These early reflections are helping students demonstrate their growing understanding of the mystery of the Trinity and how God is present in our lives in different but connected ways. As the unit continues, students will continue to build on their ideas and explore how the Trinity is revealed in Scripture, prayer, and our Catholic tradition.

Prayers for Fr Michael
We continue to keep our much-loved Parish Priest, Fr Michael, in our thoughts and prayers as he has recently returned to ICU. We ask our school community to join together in praying for his healing, strength, and comfort during this difficult time. Below is the latest update from Bishop Greg Bennet, who invites us to continue to lift Fr Michael up in prayer and to place our trust in God’s loving care.
We also share a Prayer for Fr Michael’s Healing (pictured below) and invite families to pray it together at home. May our faith and community support bring comfort to Fr Michael and those who care for him.
Let us continue to keep Fr Michael, his family, and our parish community in our hearts and prayers.

Kind regards,
Emily Rogers

Robocup State Comptetion 2025, Term 4 Week 1

Late last term, 37 grade 5 & 6 students took part in Robocup State Competition, Victoria’s biggest robotics event. In the Riley Rover (junior) division, Trinity had 8 teams competing amongst 47 teams in total. In the Primary division, we had 5 teams competing in a slightly smaller pool of teams. Throughout the day, our thirteen teams worked diligently to code and modify their robots to manoeuvre around complex courses. It was no easy feat as they had to work under pressure to come up with unique solutions for each of the courses.
While we did not finish in the top three this year, I am so proud of the dedication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills that each team brought to the robotics program. For many students, they have been hard at work since term one. As a school, we know our students have a bright future ahead of them.
Next week, they will be acknowledged for their achievement and will be showcasing their skills in front of the whole school at assembly. If you have not seen the students in action, this might be one assembly that you don’t want to miss.

AWARDS & BIRTHDAYS

Trinity Car Park Etiquette
- Please abide by the 5km/h limit the WHOLE TIME you are in the park area.
- For greater safety and visibility, we are requesting that all drivers reverse park into the marked bays in our school car park.
- Thank you to all who use the pedestrian crossing area. You are demonstrating to your children correct road safety practices. Once children cross the pedestrian crossing into the parking area, they, for their safety, need to be placed into vehicles promptly. The car park is NOTa meeting area.
- The lane around the edge of the car park (closest to the oval) are for vehicles waiting to pick children up from the Pick-up Zone ONLY.
- The two parking bays closest to the office path are the only PICK-UP ZONES. These are NO STANDINGzones. If your children are not ready to get into your car as you pull up to the pick-up zone, you must continue on and either park or rejoin the end of the pick-up queue.
- THE GATES CLOSEAT 8.45am. They will RE-OPEN AT 3.00pm. The gates close at the end of the day at 3:25pm. Occasionally they might reopen slightly later due to school activities.
- The Staff Car Park is for STAFF PARKING ONLY. Please do not use it as a drop off/pick up for students.
We really need commitment from families to NOT TURN RIGHT when exiting the car park. All vehicles must TURN LEFT for the safety of others and to maintain traffic flow.
We also have families double parking along Oakgrove Drive and letting their children out. This is unsafe, prevents traffic flow and against road rules.
We have also been contacted by Casey Council, which patrols the area, about families performing U-turns on Oakgrove Drive. Their advice is as follows:
Ø U-turns are dangerous during the peak school times for pedestrians but also other drivers.
Ø They recommend NOT performing U-turns in this area. This is dangerous for children and pedestrians around a school precinct.
Ø They recommend driving further up to the roundabout on Oakgrove Drive, where you can turn around safely or exit away from the school.
If you have others picking up your children, such as Grandparents, can you please inform them of Trinity’s protocols or etiquette.
Thank you for taking the time to read this email and I look forward to your continued commitment to keep our students and families safe.
CHILD SAFE STANDARDS WORKING WITH CHILDREN
Trinity has zero tolerance towards child abuse and is therefore committed to complying with the Ministerial Order No. 1359 – Implementing the Child Safe Standards – Managing the Risk of Child Abuse in Schools and School Boarding Premises. All parents/guardians wishing to help in the classroom, canteen or attend excursions MUST have completed the PARENT HELPER WORKSHOP and hold a current WORKING WITH CHILDREN CARD.
Further details are available from the school office or the Justice Department website. All parent/guardian helpers must sign in at the office before proceeding to the classrooms. Your current Working with Children card must be displayed at all times when working in the classrooms and attending excursions.
A reminder to all Parents/Carers, supervision by School Staff begins at 8.30am before school and after school only at the drop off area until 3.30pm.
